Welcome Message from Symposium Director
Dear Colleagues,
I am most delighted to invite you all to the International Endolaparoscopic Surgery Symposium (IESS) 2011 in Hong Kong from 19-21 December 2011.
Techniques and technology of surgery continue to break new grounds. Sophistication in surgical procedures has attained to new standards with the combination of endoscopic and laparoscopic techniques. With all these advancements in surgery, we have adopted the theme “Future standards in MAS” for IESS 2011 to pave the way for new standards in Minimal Access Surgery. It is high time celebrating the success and sharing the excitement with the novel techniques in surgery through a variety of live demonstrations, panel discussion and dialectic lectures.
Since 2007, this is the third time for the Symposium to be held in Hong Kong. It has always been a representative flagship event that offers medical experts with an invaluable opportunity to share the contribution and achievement in Minimal Access Surgery. With our invited clinical leaders and international faculties from United States, Europe, Asia-Pacific regions, and our local institutions, I am sure you will find the program attractive and stimulating.
The symposium will be held at HKEC Training Centre for Healthcare Management and Clinical Technology which is located in Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital. The advanced audiovisual technology and video-conferencing facilities in the Centre provide us an inspiring learning environment to acquire and share experience and best practices. Moreover, Hong Kong is a cosmopolitan city that you will never forget once you have been in such an energetic city with warm hospitality.
I am sure it is going to be a rewarding and enjoyable symposium. Come and experience this unforgettable event. We look forward to celebrating with you in Hong Kong.
